FEED WIRE CONNECTION TO FIXTURE J-BOX Refer to Figure 5.
J-boxis approved forthrough wiring witheight No.12AWGconductors
(4in/4out) rated 90°C or higher.
1. Remove j-box cover by releasing spring clip (A) and allowing cover
(B) to hinge open.
2. Select knockout, remove, and install appropriate connector.
3. Install feed wire inaccordance with and/orlocal electrical codes.
4. Complete wiring.
5. Reinstall j-box cover (B).
SOCKETASSEMBLYREPLACEMENT (LOW VOLTAGE UNITS ONLY)
1. Remove trim by gently pulling down until butterfly springs are visible.
Squeeze springs together torelease fromthe slots provided inthe hous-
ing. Refer to Figure 6.
2. Unplug lampfromsocket and set trimaside.
3. Follow the socket wire inside housing until it terminates at the plug
connection. Squeeze the two tabs on the outside of the plug and re-
move.
4. Install replacement socket assembly in reverse order of the above.
Note the plugis polarized.
LAMP REPLACEMENT (MR16, AR70, PAR36, AR111, PAR46, PAR56)
Refer to Figure 7.
1. Refer to #1 and Figure 6 from SOCKET ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT.
2. Remove lampholder bracket (A) by releasing lampholder retaining
spring (B).
3. Remove lens if applicable.
4. Remove socket fromlamp.
5. Remove lampfromlampholder bracket. Replacewith new lamp.
6. Reinstall lampholder bracket by aligning tab (C) with slot in adjustment
mechanism (D).
7. Rotate upwards and snap into position.
8. Replace lamp/lampholder and trim.
TRANSFORMER/BALLAST REPLACEMENT Refer to Figure 8.
1. Refer to #1 and Figure 6 from SOCKET ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT.
2. Remove lamp/lampholder and trimfrom fixture.
3. Rotate adjustment mechanism (A) to allow access to j-box access
door (B).
4. Loosen the knurled thumb screw (C) that can be seen through the
aperture.
5. Slide j-box access door to the side. Remove outside j-box door with
transformer (D)attached. Unwire transformer.
6. Install replacement inreverse order.
7. Replace lamp/lampholder and trim.
INSULATION DETECTOR REPLACEMENT Refer to Figure 9.
1. Refer to #1 and Figure 6 from SOCKET ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT.
2. Rotate adjustment mechanism (A) to allow access to j-box access
door(B).
3. Loosen the knurled thumb screw (C) that can be seen through the
aperture.
4. Slide j-box access door to the side.
5. Removeinsidej-boxdoorwiththermalprotector (D)attached.Unwire.
6. Installreplacementinsulationdetector into holder and reinstall in
reverse order.
7. Replace lamp/lampholder and trim.
